OnPay’s HR platform now has a separate dashboard from its payroll feature. You can use it to view pending tasks for employees, send offer letters, and collect electronic signatures.

Meanwhile, the “Employee Time Off” feature shows you who’s in the office and who’s about to take leave, and it also has a chat option for employees to communicate with admins regarding their schedules.  

There’s a separate employee portal that they can access with important data like W-2 and 1099 forms, pay stubs, and PTO. Those going through onboarding will have their task reminders on the board. The employees can also use OnPay to review their performance sheets.


OnPay can also act as a broker, as it is registered as a health insurance brokerage in all 50 US states. You can use the platform to set up employees’ health insurance or retirement plans. 

If you intend to use OnPay’s payroll services but already have a different provider, there’s no need to worry; OnPay will automatically migrate your employee data to its platform at no extra cost. 


Although it provides a first-class payroll service, OnPay’s benefits don’t include some important features you’d want when running a business.

For instance, there isn’t a time-tracking feature on its platform. So, if you want to track your employees’ performance, you’ll have to integrate OnPay with employee monitoring software.

OnPay does a great job of integrating its service with major accounting programs like QuickBooks and Xero. And as QuickBooks holds 80% of the market, chances are, if you’re a business owner, you’re already using its service.
